Food is amazing, everything else concerning the business, customer service and price is awful. I would eat here all the time, but at this point I have refused to eat from this restaurant at all. The owners and employees are extremely rude, and the price is astronomical. I will not support an owner who could care less about taking care of customers who are paying for their very comfortable life style. In reference to the owners reply to this review: my review was not effected by Covid or the restaurants policy concerning dine in, and no where in my comments does it say I was refused service. Nor were my complaints related to the increase of, or lack there of, food prices. I think the prices have always been too high. On an entirely new point, my legal United States money was refused. I brought in Sacajawea dollars to pay for my meal and the cashier refused to allow me to pay with this. This is illegal by the way. Any business within the United States is required to accept government issues coin and currency.

Great Indian food. Good environment. Check out their buffet menu. Best time to go is between 11:00am - 14:30pm.
I drive for Door Dash and have made several deliveries for this place. I have never been treated so rudely at a restaurant in my life. The guys here are misogynistic and treat women like less than equals. I refuse to do anymore deliveries for them after this last incident. I tried to pick up an order and was refused the food and told to leave after I simply asked if my order was ready but because I spoke over a male, he became furious with me. I will not tolerate being disrespected simply because I am a female!
I've only visited Taj Mahal during lunch hours, and have had the buffet each time. They have an excellent variety of Indian dishes and vegetarian dishes. The sauces are very well seasoned and there's also a little salad bar if you'd rather have that, or even as a starter. There are a variety of chicken and meat dishes as well. awesome
I would give six stars. As a traveller, Having a bad experience at Zayka (311 Jefferson) I googled & found this amazing resturant. Unlike zayka they do not prioritize or target specific customers The food is awesomely amazing. Very authentic veg Khorma ignites your taste buds. Butter naan was smooth & yummy. Veg biryani I bet no other Resturant can match their taste. One of the best customer service polite gentle and willing to take orders 5 min prior to closing.
