Very friendly ambassador gave us explanations and tour patiently. It’s lovely and very interesting to witness how the wines are made from the very beginning and the theory and ideologies behind. Agriculture is something we really should appreciate more while most urbanised people haven’t yet.

One of the Rhone valley's great names, established in 1808 and owning some 230 ha/560 acres of vineyard, principally in the northern Rhone and notably 32 ha of Hermitage. More recent purchases have been made in Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence, Banyuls, and 100 ha/247 acres in South Australia.

Terrible shop. You must NOT buy anything from this place as they offer at most expensive prices on the street,. I bought a couple of Ermitage wines (L'Ermite and L'Orée) by accident but their prices seem to be the highest in the markets. (I should have checked before I bought but I've never had this experience at any other winery's direct boutique.) When I checked with my wine merchants later, I could easily find the same wines at 100-200 EUR cheaper prices (some at a half price...). They have a TTC general price listed on each wine and showed their \discounted\ price next to it. But it seems that they just put the highest offer in the market and sell the wines at a very high price. Never seen this kind of awful business. Also, I couldn't do any tasting for Ermitage collection and didn't receive much advice as well. Maybe the wine itself is good but I would never buy wines from here again. A total rip-off.

I would give 2.5 stars, but don’t have that option. We went to handful of wine tasting venues while in France. We enjoyed and bought wine at every location, but this one. Call me crazy, but I didn’t like any of the wine we were offered at the tasting. It wasn’t just me, the group of 20 people all felt the same and only a couple people made purchases. The facility was really nice, staff was great and we enjoyed everything about our visit but the wine. They offered chocolates during the tasting like a couple of the other venues we went to, but it didn’t help the taste of the wine. The chocolate was incredible and when the group left we all walk down to Valrhona, chocolate shop and loaded our bags with their fine chocolates. I really did want to love the wine and was hoping to bring their bottles home to the states. If or when I return to France, I will give them another try. If your in the area, stop by and try for yourself. Cheers

Great wine from a power house! Be careful with shipping costs. We were quoted 200eur for shipping 12 bottles to USA. After tasting and upping the count to 18 bottles, shipping was 400eur via fedex
