Probably the most amazing pub I've been to! Wonderful, spirited and lively staff who are most welcoming to all. You have a great choice of Heineken, Heineken or Heineken.. unless you prefer Heineken I would highly recommend the Heineken! Camping is just across the road in a small location surrounded by trees. You can have campfires and there is an amazing shower facility on site as well as a toilet. As for views, you don't get much better. Surrounded by mountains and trees, with a lovely river by the side of you, it really is astounding.

As a place to get away we really couldn't have been happier with it. The campsite was tucked away in a small wooded glade next to a river and the surrounding scenery couldn't be beaten. The outdoor shower was particularly enjoyable as the water was heated nicely and offered a good contract from the drizzle on a wet day. We didn't get an opportunity to visit the restaurant for food however we did talk with the owner on a couple of occasions and he made some recommendations that really helped our trip go well. This is a good basics camping site that relies on you to make the most of it. The adult only notice on pitchup is well deserved as wouldn't be the easiest place to camp with kids. Also there wasn't any phone signal in the camp, nearest reception was up the mountain next to it. Was nice to switch off for a while. Would recommend for a weekend break or midweek getaway.

Awful, rude staff. Arrived with friends for a drink outside. Got told off for moving a few chairs, barman claiming 'we haven't had Covid round here and we don't want yours'. Even though their own chairs and tables were not socially distanced correctly by 2m anyway. Happy enough to take our money though! Absolutely understand people have varying boundaries right now but if they didn't want our group in they only had to explain why and we would have understood. Also barely had anything on tap/stocked, no lager only cider to drink. Kept glaring at us the whole time we were there. Monumentally rude although, like I said, fine to make money off us at the same time. Be open and welcoming or not at all I say. We're all in it together. Will never go back here and wouldn't recommend anyone else visiting either.

Beautiful location. Nice tasty, reasonable value, pub grub \ in a basket \ during Covid-19 situation . Lovely small pub to visit after a nice walk. Traditional roaring log fire in the winter, outside mini bar beer garden in summer.
