Yesterday evening my 9 year old daughter Daisy took part in an online cookery class with the lovely Jaya from Breech Lane Curry House. She made lamb kebabs and paneer tikka kebabs which we then had for dinner. With a bonus recipe to make a fresh raita to go with it! Absolutely delicious, and she was so proud of what she produced. She thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, including getting everything ready earlier in the day, and learning about the spices we used in the food. It has helped to build up her confidence in the kitchen which is so important. I highly recommend Jayas sessions and will be looking out for the next one!!

What a wonderful experience! My husband and I treated ourselves to a 3 hour online cooking lesson with Jaya and everything was well planned, carefully considered and seemingly effortless (although we know how much preparation must goes into these events!) Jaya was always there to answer our questions when sourcing ingredients, and the session itself was paced very well and the time flew by. It felt as comfortable and relaxed to make conversation and laugh with Jaya as it did to be in silence while concentrating on the cooking, and she paced the session perfectly. By the end, we had 3 absolutely fantastic dishes that all tasted authentic, vibrant and full of flavour. The tips and tricks we learnt were great too, and we received information that we can apply to our regular cooking techniques. We learnt a lot about the spices we were using, and Jaya was ready to adapt at every turn to our set up and what we were using. Whether you're serious about your cooking and want to expand your repertoire / develop techniques, or just want something a bit different to try, we highly recommend Jaya. We can't wait to have another lesson and, meanwhile, will practise what we've been shown.

Cooking made easy. List of ingredients circulated in advance and on the Zoom call we were taken through every step with helpful tips and advice. Result - a very tasty chicken curry. I have made it since with the same excellent result.

Took part in an online curry cooking class last week with 7 colleagues. We had such a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed the class as well as the delicious food Jaya so wonderfully helped us to prepare.

I organised a zoom curry cookery course with Jaya for my sons birthday. Three households participated and had a great time. It is a very good way for family members to \get together\ during these strange times, and certainly a very enjoyable birthday treat. We made a chicken curry, which you could make as mild or as hot as you wanted. Jaya sends you an ingredients list in advance. She is very knowledgeable and patient and checks regularly on what your dish looks like. After the hours class, we resigned into zoom and the 3 households ate the dish together. Jaya is currently doing zoom classes that you can join in with other curry lovers or you can organise one yourself for your family. All 6 of us agreed it was a very enjoyable evening and we are now planning which of her other classes to participate in.
