We have been playing golf mid week here for a number of years. Lovely 9 hole course and the golf course staff are friendly, in particular Steve and Bob in the pro shop are fantastic, top top blokes and would be giving them 5 stars. We have always tee'd off after 6pm during summer as we love a twilight 9 holes, and it's always nice to have the 10th there for a well deserved hydration spot and social after. This year the bar has shut up earlier and earlier each week we have played no matter what time we tee off, with a \can't be bothered to serve\ attitude. The amount of people left on the course (tee'd off after us) without access to the bar either just doesn't make sense, what golf bar shuts at 8pm in summer with twilight? There have also been snidey remarks that have made us feel unwelcome in the bar area and left some sour tastes in our mouth. I know this has been a year of exceptional and difficult circumstances for all industries and every individual and this sounds rather petty but just the way we have been treated in the bar area of Bishopswood Golf Course this year has made us have a look to go elsewhere and find another club for the future.
