BEST Mexican in Hamilton park area hands down. I’ve tried so many places around here and been disappointed. Finally found a good mission style burrito. The sauces are great too.

My newest favorite Mexican-inspired place. The first time I ordered the massive nachos and three options of tacos. The secret behind a good taco relays on two things: the weight of the tortilla, and the salsas, this place have both qualities. Tacos are delicious, but my favorite one is the steak burrito, filled with black beans, rice and cheese. Don’t forget to try the different fresh flavored water, the horchata is my go-to. It might not be made from rice or seeds, but it taste as I remember from my childhood.
Really great food. However, there was meat in my food when I have dietary restrictions. I called not to be rude or complain, but to just make them aware so other people who can't eat meat didn't accidentally eat meat as well. I seriously respect anyone who has to show up to work in person right now and know everyone is dealing with a lot of stress, but the person I spoke to was very belittling, disrespectful, and dismissive... it just kinda made me sad. Bummed to such an extent that I'm writing my first google review. :\
I’ve been regular customer at Tacoria Downtown JC for about 2 years now - I‘ve liked it until recently! For past few months the quality of service has gone down quite annoyingly - Few members of the staff at the counter has gotten to be rude; also almost always there has been miscommunication between what is ordered at the counter and what the chef ends up making (missing out items on custom orders). I hope for the service to get better from here!
Summary: Hands down! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Jersey City. Full Review: Had been craving for some good Mexican food and these guys know it well. Visited them with a friend in the evening. They have a really great vibe, ample seating and without a doubt good food. There is some outdoor seating too to enjoy the sunny weather. Loved the fact their menu is very vegetarian and vegan friendly, they had an entire side dedicated for Vegan choices. Found the pricing pretty reasonable and the portion sizes were generous. We had tried the Tacos and Burritos. Feel free to mix and match the different types of protein in your 3 tacos. The Burrito was very filling and flavorful. To add some spice, make sure you pick some sauces placed near the food pickup counter. Along with these we took a side of Cheesy Mexican corn which too was fab. Also loved their choice of Aqua Frescas - very light and refreshing. Recommendations: Mains: Tacos or Burritos Choice of Protein: Fried avacado - fabulous texture Sauces: Salsa Verde, Habanero Drinks: Guava and Basil Aqua Fresca Side: Cheesy Mexican Street Corn
