A tremendous autonomous resource for vets, especially if having issues getting into/recognized, by the often inept VA. Very calming relaxing environment that allows an opportunity for self healing and really get into/sort out the issues at hand. Really appreciate all your help sir, turned my life around during a really low point in my life.

Staffed by the VA but separate system, so confidentiality (except mandatory reporting or course) is assured. This won’t affect your rating or employability unless YOU want it to! There’s one on ones as well as groups. Great people, and lots of the staff are vets themselves so they get it. Coffee on tap, too :-)

Awful place, wouldn't help at all. Made an appointment to see VSO at 10, went in for help filing for disability. VSO not only refused to help but also tried to persuade me into not filing, because some of my navy related injuries haven't been a recurring problem for a few years. Tried telling me I cant file until the injury returns... Then tried lying to me that the VA won't accept my medical records until I file, that an official disc won't be accepted, and that VSOs cant request or send the medical records, all while pretending to be writing stuff in her notes (I say she was pretending because she was visually writing but when I glanced at her notes they were blank) She even started becoming hostile asking me why I think the VA should cover my Navy related injuries, asking why I waited so long to try and file, and what have I done about my conditions lately?!?! Completely inappropriate behavior and attitude, I came for help and your going to verbally assault me? When I finally pointing out her attitude and how she was giving me the runaround she kicked me out... at 10:15. 10:00-10:15, she only gave me 15min of her time and in the end didnt do anything for me. As I was leaving I asked her why, if she wasn't going to do my disability claim from the get-go, I wasn't informed of that when I made the appointment and/or she didnt call to inform me of that before I drove all the way there. She said she didnt know the purpose of the appointment previously (even though it was by my name at the top of her notes)...
