Tried this place after seeing positive reviews. Exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff, reasonable prices, awesome taste and big portions. Definitely going back again.

The BEST vegan tacos I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. For a small eater, I was surprised to find myself contemplating whether or to like the plate or not. Yes. That good.
Im going to give 2 stars because the food was alright. The service how ever was horrible the manger/owner didnt explain the custom soda drink menu at all. So when you asked for dr pepper or anything normal he would just say we dont have that \u200d️ Chips and salsa was given in 4 little small containers and asked several times for refill with no result. At one point the manager filled one of our party of four glasses with rootbeer instead of their cola brand. Waited forever to take our order which happen to be on our lunch break . The total visit took an 1 hour and 43 minutes. Order was messed up which was super simple literally 3 beef fajita tacos one beef quesadilla one pork taco one beef fajita taco and one beef fajita taco with shrimp which seemed to be an act of god because the waiter had to ask his manager if he could do that. After all this I kindly explained to the manager that the service was horrible and that we wouldn't be back. His reply was sorry were busy (the place was 1/3 filled) and I'll discount your meal 6 Look I didn't need a discount what I needed was for my guys to get fed and get back to work so I could make money. I'm extremely understanding during covid and understand the complications but this experience was by far one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. When brought up felt completely dismissed and unappreciated as a valued customer. Until this place gets ran properly I would say steer clear especially if your on a time crunch.
We just love Taco Ocho. It's not close to our house, but even in this pandemic we've made regular trips to get our favorite tacos. I recently picked up a last-minute catering option to accommodate family during the holidays and it was a hit. The Latin Love (with braised beef, black beans, and plantains) and the Smoked Chicken Elote are my favorite tacos. I can't believe everyone doesn't put plantains on their tacos because it's magical. We've also enjoyed some of the vegan/vegetarian options, especially when we've hosted family with those dietary preferences. Love the salsa that comes with the chips and their rice is so delicious. The decor is bright, friendly, and modern. The staff has always been friendly. One time we were there dining in when a huge storm hit... like outdoor furniture was kind of flying around on the patio area, it was a big deal. The staff quickly took care of the outdoor area, checked on guests who had been dining outdoors and had moved inside, and even though we'd been there a while already and had been done and just talking, we were welcomed to stay and wait out the downpour, even offered more chips if we wanted to snack while we waited (we were stuffed, so we politely declined, but it was sweet of them to offer). While I wish they were a little closer to home in the Carrollton area, we don't mind the drive for a great experience!
We really liked the food here. The food had good southern flavors and was tasty. The sandwiches were a real highlight. We loved the combinations in the menu. Hope they continue to keep their standards consistent. That's one of general concerns with every new place, hope they are able to stay consistent
