Went here for my 21st birthday. Was extremely happy with my meal and service. Nay was an excellent waitress, our table was very well looked after. And my steak (had the big 30oz tomahawk) was cooked to perfection. Couldn't have asked for better steak.

Came here for a meal arranged by a friend. She apparently came here regularly under the previous management and said it was amazing. This was her first time here under new management. Apparently it's changed a lot. Service was ridiculously slow. We has to ask to be served. When the food eventually arrived we had to send a starter back to be changed and had to specifically ask for the kids food to be brought out even through it had been asked for at ordering. The mains came out fairly quickly afterwards but all of the steaks were well done and we had to send them back as we had asked one well done, one medium rare and one rare. The rare we later realised was the wrong type of steak to what was ordered. The vegan burger also did have to be sent back as it had dairy products in it even though it was requested these were removed. In all having our 2 courses took nearly 4 hours. The food was OK but not the amazing quality the restaurant was apparently always used to be known for. They did offer a 25% discount for the issues. Given it was a relatively quiet Saturday lunchtime we would have expected better.
Nice place and good beef steak
Here for lunch for about the 3rd time and I'm pleased to say its consistently good. If anything some dishes have improved. The Chicken Cesar salad for one. My friend ordered that this time and it looked great, less dressing (previously swamped), good grill marked chicken. The Weighbridge has ambitions to be a top steak house and having tried my first one this time (8oz Prime Rib Eye), firstly well cooked exactly to order Med. Rare which goes a long way in my book. Second, the steak was super tender, fall apart almost. The onions, me personally I'd prefer a second grilled mushroom. Side salad, basic possibly 2 types of leafs and half cherry tomatoes..... needs a bit of inspiration. Overall the Weighbridge prices are on the high side of premium, based on one steak so far, M&C still have the edge but if WB keeps working at it then it could challenge. I will be back to try another steak in the evening and see what happens. Service wise WB is back up there again. Laura W was our server and was great even in these trying times!! Weighbridge is and will be recommended and I will be back.
