A Good Yarn is like an Aladdin's cave for knitters and quilted! A wonderful shop to browse. A wonderful, helpful owner, Mel Roberts, is on hand with help and advice. Nothing is to much trouble for her. Well worth a visit!

Despite my foreign accent, and disability I found the shop easy to get around, and the staff very helpful. I visited only to get 2 or 3 interesting patterns of fabric, But, my daughter decided to buy nearly half the shop. The lady who assisted had no hesitation on removing moving ends of bolts from he shelves to a table so the pattern could be seen better, to both ladies my thanks for your help. I/We will be back again Jim

Fabulous fabrics and wonderful wools. For anyone who loves quilting fabrics, just the smell and sight of it all as you walk in the door is enough to make you salivate. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop suddenly given an unlimited supply of pocket money. Could barely use a sewing machine when I started classes; now I'm a competent quilter. The friendly and relaxed classes that cater for all abilities are the highlight of my week.
