Stayed here on my way to Copenhagen on a road trip. Very friendly, professional staff even though we checked in very late. Hotel naming was quite confusing because we booked it as a Best Western and the outside of the building only says Hotel Svendborg. Free parking behind the hotel was very useful and easy to access. Hotel is right on the city center, which I'm sure would have been lovely to explore. Buffet breakfast was full of local Danish delicacies (morning ginger shots, who knew?) and different sorts of delicious meats, cheeses, and fish. Great selection and excellent attention to Coronavirus precautions. I felt very safe with the way the staff maintained hygiene rules. The room itself was a little dated (no outlets near the beds for phone chargers, strange smell in the room) but nothing too big of a deal for me. Good experience all around.

I stayed in this Hotel 5 days at the beginning of December 2016, during a business trip. PRO: -\tLocation: in the very central square of Svendborg, you can walk everywhere in minutes. -\tParking: There is a big free parking, you just need to ask for a pass. -\tCleanness: the hotel and the room were extremely clean and well maintained. -\tBreakfast: good choice of food from sweet to salty. -\tBed: Comfortable. CONS: -\tROOM: it was a little bit compact, not really spacy. -\tBathroom: very small and with a problem with the electric plug that was not screwed to the wall, it seemed unsafe.
We stayed at Hotel Svendborg for 3 days. The room had a bit of tobacco smell, we were offered another room, but it was the same. They are currently renovating and for that reason the workers start making noise from 7 in the morning on the weekdays. If you plan to sleep for longer than that, do not stay at this hotel until 2020. At 9 they started using a jackhammer in the reception/eating area for breakfast. Unbearable.
