A quiet Thursday afternoon pint. Social distancing works well with separate entrance and exits. Table service, card only payment and face masks to be worn if moving about or not sitting at your table. Sussex Oak keeps a good cellar and my pint of Tmothy Tailor was exactly as it should be.

Beautiful pub, very old lots of original features in an idyllic setting! Good menu, great service food arrived quickly, well worth a visit! I only had sandwich at lunch time but would definitely like to go one evening or perhaps for the Sunday roast!
Great friendly traditional style pub. If you're looking for something that isn't a chain run place then this is the place to go.
Been meaning to go here for a while. Was seated in the ew\ part which has about as much atmosphere as a deserted island. It needs some pictures on the walls, maybe some music, plants. Ordered the steak and ale pie which was very good, but came with oven chips which was disappointing. With so many other nice pubs in the area not sure I would go back.
Good cheesy chips. Ale selection was average. Good to see Cabin Pressure on the gin list. We'll be back for Sunday lunch as we liked the atmosphere.
