You might think that Mexican-Japanese fusion cuisine sounds too strange and gimmicky to work, but this place certainly pulls it off. I recommend any of the sushis with plantains, they are delicious.

Planned to go here with my partner, the man serving told us that we needed to make a reservation and the 3 free tables were already booked. That was alright, we left and came back, asked again and he said no still nothing available, so we asked for take away. Whilst we are looking at the menu for something to take away, two people walked in without a reservation and he sat them right in front of us... when we went to talk to him he put his head down and proceeded to talk to someone else. Poor service.

Interesting concept, nice presentation, but slightly missed the mark for me (my husband loved it though). Rice needs a bit more flavor and the wasabi was bland. Gyoza skin was thick and crunchy, not like a good chewy yet crisp gyoza in an izakaya.

When I walked into a sushi restaurant in Nantes that claimed to have a fusion of South American and Japanese food I didn't expect much. But I can confirm that this adorable little whole in the wall has a genius in the kitchen. The food was exceptional. Service was impeccable. Possibly some of the most creative sushi dishes I have ever seen, unbelievably good mixtures of flavours.
