Smiling and efficient service is a plus but this restaurant doesn't really deserve 4 stars. This's a 3.5 in my opinion. I really like sushi and sushi means good fish. I ate better tuna and salmon (that was just ok in this restaurant) but the real problem is in the fusion identity of this restaurant. I understand the elegant presentation, I understand also unusual ingredients like exotic fruit, quail eggs and so on, but the fish has to prevail, enhanced not covered. Sometimes this's not true in this stylish and quite restaurant.

Interesting and posh. I guess it's Portuguese Sushi? We came in when they just opened around 8:15 and said they could fit us in without reservations if we leave by 9:30. The entire place was empty and by the time we left there were a few tables open. But I would recommend a reservation. The sushi is untraditional, not what you would expect, but more flash than flavor. I got a freestyle with many random sushi on it; absolutely beautiful and great textures, all the flavors taste the same though. We also had the shitaki mushrooms, a spring roll, vegetable tempura, miso soup, and sashimi; all of which were pretty mediocre and salty for our taste buds. I literally make those things at home, but better. Not bad, a little bit more money than it's worth and not exactly a welcoming environment. Also, I thought it was odd how I didn't see anyone drink any Gin at a Gin House. I probably wouldn't return, but it's worth a try.

They seated us promptly despite not having reservations, and the restaurant being fairly popular/busy. The sushi was quite good... Just wish there was more!
Great sushi for a great price with nice waiters and a good setting. I can recommend the mixed sushi plates, as they come with a great variety of sushi pieces. I didn't try the gin, but they have got a great variety to chose from, if that is your thing.
