I had recently posted a negative review on this establishment, but quickly changed my feedback as the owner was able to offer an apology and had such a quick response to my post. I appreciated her timeliness and truly how much she cared about my feedback. Thank you for the help Lily! It really does make a world of a difference knowing that there are business owners out there that absorb feedback and adapt.
My boyfriend and I started dating during the pandemic, so we havnt been able to go out on many dates. We ate here a couple of days ago for our second official date after almost 9 months, and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was very calm and laid back, and there were very few people in the restaurant which was reassuring with everything going on. I loved the decor, and the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Most importantly, the food was delicious! I’m a tad picky with sushi, but the Godzilla, crunchy, and sweetheart rolls we ordered were some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! Even the presentation was beautiful. My favorite sushi spot closed a few years ago, which i was devastated about, but I think I’ve found my new preferred spot. 10/10 would recommended!

We have been big supporters of Sushi Ukai since it opened and as much as we are we able during the pandemic. But we have had too many bad experiences lately with late pickups, general confusion at the front desk, wrong orders, wait times well beyond what's reasonable or communicated. Last night was the final straw, and I need to give Sushi Ukai time to work out its processes. The ownership team and staff here are amazing/friendly and I want them to succeed. But you have to hit the basics and not hitting them should be the exception not the rule. So many apologies from owner about wanting to be better. Great food and great dining room service, but make sure you allow yourself time, patience and triple check everything before committing to the mind-numbing adventure of ordering out from here.
