I went last Sunday for my first ever shoot and had a lesson with John, who was lovely. He has a great knowledge of the sport and a really nice way of teaching it to you. Everybody there was very friendly and welcoming. If your looking to get into the sport or just give it a go I would highly recommend this club. I enjoyed it so much I’ve already booked my next session.

Only visited their website which put me off as it appears very clicky to join

I came to Surrey Sporting Club for the first time last weekend with a friend of mine. I cannot agree with any thing that Mika said. I am a female and quite new to shooting and was made to feel extremely welcome. John the owner spoke to me and was very encouraging. I absolutely loved the whole rustic set up and hope that the club can continue in its current format. I look forward to going back hopefully next weekend.

Couldn't disagree with the previous review more. Thought a shooting club might be a bit cliquey but was made to feel very welcome every time I've been here. My daughter struggled with her gun as she was a bit too small so they only charged me a nominal amount for her round even though she had almost a full compliment of birds. Once I got my shotgun certificate they let me try a few guns for no extra cost so I could get a feel for them. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I have been a couple of times and as much as I enjoy shooting I felt it was very cliquey and male dominated (which is fine, I expected it to be and can deal with banter but not when you are made to feel very unwelcome). As a female I was very uncomfortable - men do look down and have no time for women. I have been shooting before and know how to position a gun to suit me and my body frame. One chap working there insisted I moved the gun and he pushed it in an akward position so when I fired it jutted back even more and badly bruised my shoulder. I had mentioned something to one of the owners who dismissed it completely.
