What an amazing atmosphere. We were all there cheering and celebrating as we cleared our cars of junk. Someone dropped some rubbish on the floor and we all laughed! Because, its a tip and it didn't matter! It got a bit tasty when one chap tried to put cardboard in the wood skip, but fortunately an eagle-eyed staff member was there to stop the goofball making the mistake. I particularly love how you get to see how much % waste was recycled last month, a stat that I completely trust to be accurate. It's truly inspiring.

Very well organised recycle centre. There is a large capacity dumping tips areas for different products such and household burnable waste, cardboard, small appliances, scrap metal, bottles, cans and plastic tip, wood, garden waste etc. Today there was a 15 minutes queue in the afternoon. But once through it did not take long to dump many bags in different bins. Staff a plite and very helpful.

I have been to many tips around the world and this is one of the best, I always try to sit on the left hand side of the plane when I fly back into Manchester to ensure I get a good view of it below.

They ask you over a hundred times what you have in your car and plasterboard to these guys is like what Kryptonite was to Superman. You can see they easily have the capacity to handle plasterboard waste placing a separate container but they'll make you go to Sharston with a hard hat, luminous jacket, steel toe shoes and all the PPE drama. Also if you come later in evening even an hour before closing they don't like it because they all want to go home.
