Love this cottage! It has everything you need.only one thing needed and that is some mesh across the fencing on the garden as our little dog can get through the gaps. Other than that it's perfect.x

This cottage is in such a beautiful location. So quiet, even in the school summer holidays. It is extremely comfortable and contains everything you could ever need. No mobile (O2) signal (even better in my opinion!) but a good Wi-Fi service available and a pay phone if really needed. The kitchen is very clean and fully equipped and there is a separate dining room too. The two bedrooms are tidy and both good sizes. The beds are lovely and there are large built in wardrobes in both rooms with a dressing table in the master. The bathroom has a bath with a very good shower over. There is a little patio area to the back and a lovely communal garden at the front with views down to the River Wye. So many fabulous walks from the cottage and the Peregrine Path leads all of the way to Monmouth. Definitely make the climb to Symonds Yat Rock too - well worth the effort! Woods of Whitchurch is a great little shop/takeaway/cafe about 35/40 min walk away and several pubs with good food within walking distance too. The hand ferry (1.20 Aug '18) is very close which takes you to the other side of the river where you can find a pub, cafe and river activities, including canoeing, paddle boarding and a river cruise. Or take approx 2.5 mile walk via the Biblins bridge to get there. Some river activities are also available on the same side of the river as the cottage, about 20/25 min walk. We didn't need to use our car once we were there as everything is so close but there are plenty of places to explore further afield and there are lots of leaflets in the cottage with ideas for days out. Brilliant communication from Justine, the owner and we loved the little booklet she sent before our holiday with directions, key instructions, what is supplied in the cottage and loads more information. A great idea. We had a super week there and loved how relaxed we felt just being there. Hoping to come back soon. Thank you.
