Went there my girlfriend twice, both times my girlfriend was performing, first time it was okay, she did it it at a reduced rate as its was for charity, second time she went there and did it at the same reduced rate, and they charged me and my two friends for being there, because that's what they charge for an entertainment nights. Its not about the money its the simple principle that we were there to help our friend move heavy equipment around and provide motivational support. The place itself looks a bit rundown from the outside, come inside and if your not a regular you get glared at by both staff and some elders. Some senior members of staff were quite polite, came back with helpful feedback, but some were quite frankly taking the ... Overall if you are elderly and find pubs and bars around too noisy, come in here and you will find yourself getting escorted back to the dementia care home you escaped from.
This is a popular and friendly pub with good food and real ale! can't go wrong with that and it is a charity! can't be bad. I highly recommenced this pub and it is cheep cheep cheep with mutual respect!
