We were hesitant after reading the menu, the focus appeared to be on beer not food. However we were delighted with the quality of ingredients and the skill in cooking. The scotch egg is exceptional, better than what we had tasted some time back at another restaurant (now boasting a Michelin star). Friendly staff, great food...let’s hope for a successful future, much improved on the old French connection.

Quality. Finally a decent place to eat in stourbridge who care about their food. Superb staff and amazing coffee. Worth a visit.

Good food and staff. Went here on a recommendation of a friend. Especially the molten camembert and grilled tomatoes I can recommend as entrees. My duck was a bit less of a success, but still OK. My colleagues did love their meals, so that's why I give it a good rating.

@Thestour20 we were lucky enough to sample a pre launch menu before the new opening. This use to be the French Connection Bistro, same location on Coventry Street, Stourbridge. It has new decoration and a brand new menu. It is open for breakfast, lunch , evening meal or just coffee. Hasbean coffee is fabulous and is a smooth and refreshing drink. We tried the 3 small plates locally foraged salad, fish bites and tasty olives. Main course was short beef rib ragu ( GF option), if you have normal ragu the pasta is hand cut fresh every day. Slow cooked shoulder of lamb on a bed of handmade flat bread with fresh pickled onions yoghurt. Finished with dessert of buttermilk rhubarb crumble with fresh made muesli and blackberries pavlova , nice and chewy meringue. I had a gf single hop Arbor Mosaic drink which was well balanced. The Stour has a disability friendly entrance and plenty of room between tables . Seating is restricted due to Covid conditions. The waiting staff were attentive and polite. A very good experience overall and Stourbridge folk are lucky to have such a venue. I wish there were more places like this closer to home. It's well worth a visit well done Ross, Ben ,Hollie and crew. Good luck .

Good service and nice freshly made food. I went on a lunchtime and although the the food was nice, it wasn't very big portion(beef/pasta) and it was quite expensive for what it was. They do have a great selection of beers though and the coffee looked really nice but again drinks are rather on the pricey side. All in all would go back again but expect to pay!
