Aston Marina is a lovely, pretty and peaceful marina..amazing facilities too and not too far a walk from Stone town centre itself! We highly recommend this Marina on the Trent and Mersey canal... Our time to leave is nearly up to chug off and we've absolutely loved being here on our narrowboat on the visitors moorings for nearly a month! Thank you so much to Nick Scott and Sandra for making us feel so welcomed, so at home and for all your happy, cheerful demeanor and attention you showed to us as well as the rest of the boaters at Aston Marina no doubt.... We will have to come back again at some point in time hopefully! Thanks to all the lads and support staff who work at Aston Marina too... Finally, a big thank you to Nick Scott who is an absolute joy and lovely person and as the Marina's manager, is fantastic and a shiny bright star!! Stay safe and keep well everyone!! Lovely friendly staff and very pretty venue! The food was good and reasonable for the price however the burger was slightly tough and not juicy enough sadly (could be frozen?) - definitely worth a revisit!

The food was great! The booze was well chosen and reasonably priced! It is a smart and pleasant place to sit! HOWEVER, all of these positives are ruined by the staff. They are really nice but clearly haven’t been properly trained at all. Service is painfully slow and it genuinely stopped us from spending more money (we ordered less drinks than we otherwise would have). Never before have so many staff, achieved so little, across so much time. There was no obvious management structure and there was only one member of staff actually working at any one time. It was frustrating to watch and wait ages for staff to come to you. Finally, a couple of the staff simply didn’t seem to know the menu well. I hope they sort this because in every other respect it is a great place. I’ll be back and will hopefully enjoy a slicker service next time.
