What can I say but go eat here. Order on their website and pick up breakfast or lunch. Plan to eat outside or bring it home. The Biscuit with Fried Chicken with Pimento Cheese is a weird delicious work of food art. This is a knife and fork sandwich and worth the effort. The Biscuits with Sausage Gravy are old timey delicious with updated flare. The gravy is silky and buttery and when you smother a Stomping Ground biscuit the skies clear and your day is instantly better. The Gouda Grits Bowl is a game changer. Anson Mill grits, Chorizo, Salsa Verde, Smoked Gouda, and a perfectly Poached Egg. This will put a smile on your face and a pep in your step. Rough day at the home kitchen office? Order a Boozy Chai Latte and give your apple to a friend.

Enjoyed this place, want to come back and give it another try. Wasn't 100% thrilled with the breakfast sandwiches but they hit the spot after a cold morning at the farms' market. Call ahead and order if you are in a rush, give them 15 minutes headway for any order (coffee included).
Excellent breakfast food - we ordered two egg and cheese biscuits, which were like 4 each, and some smoked gouda grits. The biscuits were melt-in-your-mouth, artery-clogging, buttery goodness. I'm from the South, y'all, I don't find biscuits like that up in the DC area. Except here, apparently. And the grits were the best my redneck self has ever had - creamy, cheesy, rich but not too rich. Sometimes a neighborhood joint gets things just right - and this place seems to have the secret sauce.
The food here is crazy good. Ridiculously flavorful with good portion sizes and quality ingredients. The coffee drinks are decent, though I like Swings slightly better. All-in-all, a must-try in Del Ray!
I dream about their biscuits. And their fried chicken. And their oatmeal pies. When I want something healthier, the veggie hash. The hash changes seasonally to keep things fresh. Super Yum. Oh yes, also iced tea AND iced coffee are great. (And I am from the south) Be warned, they are not open on Mondays! Sad face. It is also easier to order online. Check it out. Homemade and yummy
