Really lovely wooded area. Great walks, lots of options. Few parking

Might be OK but there were signs everywhere warning of contaninating plant disease which kills oak, larch and other woodland plants. We didn't want to risk it.

A lovely romp in the woods. Hawksmoor is a super place to stretch the legs and get some fresh air. It's great in cold and warm. It's quite a longish walk up steep slopes to go around the loop. So probably not the best if you have difficulty walking. There aren't any guides but it's not too much of a problem to find your way around. The carpark is small but we have always managed to find a space. There is no toilets or real place to have a picnic. There is a bench you can have a sandwich at if you want an easier walk to the bench with the views turn left and walk to it (with your back to the road). The children loved running around here. I would recommend a visit.

Stunning landscape, great trails and a decent car park. This place has it all, don't take my word for it though, get here and walk or ride. You won't regret it. The trails are fairly testing so novice riders aren't recommended if you're straying away from the main area like dimmingsdale. Walkers... Go nuts! It's mega!

Beautiful, peaceful woodland, could just do with some more info at the car park about the site and possible walks.
