First time visiting and it was lovely, plenty of trails to choose from, but take a picture of the map at the entrance as there are few signpost or some bits have fallen off but we managed.. Will be going again to explore a new route.

Im not sure why this place gets negative reviews, it is a nice woodland walk with lots of growth and difficult climbs if you want to make it harder. The views are also amazing with a nice cafe at the bottom called ramblers retreat that i highly recommend to re energise. The are be breath taking in some spots with Alton Towers in the distance. We followed the red route trail with a 3 and 4 year old. It was difficult at times but they made it all the way and loved it. Some of the walks are pram friendly but you couldnt follow an official trail as the become tight and over grown. I highly recommend google maps to follow and keep checking it as you occasionally come across some trails not mapped so you want to ensure you go the right way. Enjoy!
Went for the short walk through the trees Christmas day. It was an easy walk not strenuous, but was muddy! Very enjoyable.
Beautiful autumn walk with a great socially distanced cafe at the beginning.
My dog loved it. Easy nice relaxing walk that can be made into more challenging if wanted. Food at the pud is good too !
