Totally disheartened by the lack of help from the reception team. I’ve ended up in hospital twice over Christmas when all that was needed was some readily available medication. But no. The system of ringing at 08:30 with a vague chance of any help is bonkers. The practice needs a shake up.

What happened to this practice, used to be good with helpful caring staff, from recent experience this is not now the case, such a shame. I think that consideration should be given to customer service training and if this has already been provided then in my opinion it hasn't worked.

I have to be very honest the Drs and the nurses are absolutely second to none. However the majority of the receptionists are unfriendly unhelpful and to be quite Frank they bully and intimidate people. I lost my husband on the 14/11/20 & spent almost an hour on hold trying to find out if his death certificate had been sent to the register office. The receptionist who took my call said she couldn't tell me that the register office would would call me. Her tone was uncaring as it always is when I phone. She was rude when I asked for a task to be put to my dr I was told no. If I wanted to book a phone review i would have to phone in the morning. Having lost my husband I was in need of some contact with my own Gp who has helped me so much in the past. But was left feeling even more vulnerable than how I already was.

This surgery is NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. The attitude of the reception staff is how can we be most unhelpful and obstructive as possible. The practice manager is always unavailable for contact and has been for the last few years. ( I know they have a new one now ) If, or when you get an appointment with a doctor the delay is farcical and if they are on holiday you cannot see another practice doctor until their return followed by the usual delay in trying to get an appointment. As a private business it should be closed down.
