Absolute life savers. Our pump broke Saturday and nowhere nationwide we could find the same or equivalent one!! Other than Abyss Aquatics had one in stock!!! So literally saved us/our Fish!! And boy, we where not ready for the shop when we got there. Its an unassuming building to pull up to. Its an Aquatic Dream inside!!!! Wish we could have stayed and looked round properly, but had to rush back to save our tank. Some of the largest live coral reef tanks I've ever seen. Huge amount of stock of everything you could ever need!! Masses of varied tanks. Tonnes of all types of fish. Can not wait to visit properly and take our time. As I'm sure we could spend an hour looking at just the fish!!! A big Thank You to Andy. Who was so helpful on the phone and in person. Hope to see you guys as soon possible.

Been here a few times in the last few weeks setting up a paludarium, got a lot of aquatic plants and some really nice Bettas and a male fighter, and a few other odd specimens, which they always have something no one else does, birchir here have incredible colours, large sections of fish, probably the best I've been too for fish tanks and equipment, if you need advice too, probably best place to go

Cannot recommend this place enough. I placed an online livestock order and it was a professional service from start to finish. Had an issue with one of the things I ordered which was no fault on the part of abyss. The issue was resolved quickly and easily. Can’t wait to visit the shop in person.

A couple of the floor staff are ace and very personable. Coral / fish stock is good. However they are massively let down by the cowboy owner who during a single conversation has lost our custom. We bought a both a fish and coral and found that the fish bag had been leaked. The race was on to get the fish home before the water fully drained (by the time we had arrived home the fish was basically in a shallow puddle and not fully submerged, stressed and breathing heavy) We called simply to suggest that we would expect the 120 fish should have been double bagged (not a big request). Instantly he got defensive and aggressive, swearing multiple time, taking no responsibility or showing any concerns for the fish or his aggrieved customer. The correct response if you read this should have been.... ‘Sorry about the error, I will reinforce to my team the importance of double bagging livestock. I wish you all the best in getting the fish safely into your system but if you do encounter any issues, please don’t hesitate to call me tomorrow. Customer service is important to myself and my partner and we will not be returning. There are some amazing shop owners that are prepared to go above and beyond for there loyal customer base bit this idiot certainly isn’t one of them. Also found it interesting reading some of the other reviews on facebook and google - wish i had before giving them my custom.

I bought 10 neon tetras yesterday. They weren't on display but I was told that they could be taken, 'From the back.' After bringing them home it was clear they had likely had fin rot and by the next day 3 died. I called to let them know but told I needed to showed photos and bring a sample of my water after explaining quite clearly I wasn't concerned about the money so decided to post here so others can see. These fish were likely in quarantine but still sold. I strongly advise to avoid this pet shop if you really care about your fish and particularly if you're a novice. They care only about profits and are always trying to upsell.
