I called them 2 days before Christmas as my rented flat tenant informed me that the oven had broken. As it was 15 years old, I called Stewart and Young to ask if there was any chance of fitting a new oven before Xmas. They fitted a new one that afternoon, for a great price and took the old oven away. Amazing service.

Small but totally full store. The guys are so helpful and have great knowledge of the industry. I got a cooker from here and it was good value for money. MP
Ordered a ceramic hob, cheaper than Currys, out of stock everywhere else. Delivered to my husband's place of work as no one was home. Delivered when they said they would and very helpful service.
They sent an engineer over to assess a faulty appliance, who gave a completely wrong diagnosis. He was there for less than an hour, claimed he was unable to effect a repair. He charged 160 and left. The problem was, apparently only a fuse. Seriously unimpressed. I contacted them about this and they were totally unapologetic and refused to consider even a partial refund.
Great local appliance shop, got to support local and keep the family businesses running.
