I just wanted to thank all the staff that helped in the delivery of my beautiful granddaughter Rosie May who was born on Friday 20th September 2019 at 10.06 pm! What an amazing team! .

The 5 stars are for the incredible staff that work in the maternity unit and the community midwives. I was supported incredibly well by the midwives during a very long labour and difficult delivery. In particular Helen and Karen were amazing. The facilities in the ward are very poor and in desperate need of a refurb but the staff cope incredibly well considering. One of the pools is out of order, there is no where to change a baby and no communal areas. There wards are very small and having more than one visitor is very difficult. There are generally no private rooms available. The health care and maternity assistants were also fantastic and work very hard. Louise stood out during my nights stay in hospital and her help was invaluable. The community midwives have also been fantastic, all very supportive and not judgemental. Jane in particular went out of her way to help during a difficult time.

Cafes are the slowest service I've ever known, staff are miserable, unhelpful and not the cleanest to serve food! I've waited nearly half an hour a few times for a coffee and toasties which was so bland and waste of money.
