I have known Holger and Gaby for over 6 years now and have used Stein products since 2014. My experience has been excellent in every way - the products work as advertised, are built to exacting standards and above all make music come to life........ I am a user of the Harmonisers, Blue Suns, in line signatures, Aventurine cartridge and the Signature pi turntable mat and I couldn’t be happier. I firmly believe Stein Music products work as a package and the results have to be heard to be believed!! They collectively make the experience of listening natural and relaxing with increased spaciousness and clarity!

My brother and I met Holger Stein , at his “den” - two years ago. We had an obvious sense of excitement having read the glowing reviews particularly of the Stein Harmonizers . We steeled ourselves, conscious of the bias of heightened expectations. Our first listening experience, created, what we like to call “ The Lazarus effect “ When Ella and Louis are alive again in all their musical glory, we admit that we stood up and actually applauded , obviously calling for an encore ! So what was actually an audition with no immediate purpose to buy , turned into “We can’t do without these SteinHarmonizers” So we departed - each with sets of 4 units each. Since then I have incrementally added their products into my system There’s an underpinning thread which runs through all Steinmusic products. The increase in the level of realism and refinement just like the best of spirits . Recommended strongly without any inhibitions !
Stein Carbon, a mat that delivers I know, some would call it totally insane to invest so much hard-earned cash in a turntable mat. Yet, I beg to differ on the subject of the Stein Carbon Mat. Yep, I reckon it’s worth every dollar, shilling, yen or euro because quite simply the thin black pancake jolly well works. Bear with me for a sec. Before I bought my soon-to-be-put-together-again VPI Classic 2 fitted with a My Sonic Lab cart of the greatest repute, I was using a lowly Marantz 6320 with SME 3009/3, Shure 97Xe with SAS Jico stylus. Very good value for money. Firstly, I dutifully tried the original rubber (door) mat. Not so good. Then, I put on a SAEC SS-300 metal mat. Still available on the used market. Ah, much better now. The true revelation came when—after having read some recommendation by the illustrious Michael Fremer—I ordered the Stein mat. Blessèd be the man: did it work? Yes! It bettered the SAEC by a fairly wide margin. Not quite night and day but well ahead as the music flowed more freely. Everything seemed more obvious. Just enjoyable to a greater degree. Dare I use the word musical? So, there we are: not cheap yet really excellent. Now, what’s the next step? Sticking it on the massive platter of my VPI. Impatient I am! In conclusion, if you’ve got the dosh, go for it! Worth it and pleasure guaranteed.
Holger Stein schafft es mit seinen Geräten und Entwicklungen, daß Musik nach Musik und nicht nach Technik klingt. Wie bei einem herausragenden Musiker steht die Technik im Dienst der Musik ohne zum Selbstzweck zu werden. Chapeau und vielen Dank für die vielen Stunden Musikgenuss in den heimischen vier Wänden !!
Ich habe gerade eben meinen Verstärker zur Reparatur abgegeben und wurde von Holger Stein spontan zu einer Hörprobe eingeladen. Wenn man die Treppe hochkommt und die Topine XL-Lautsprecher das erste Mal sieht, stockt einem schon der Atem. Doch was aus diesen Lautsprechern rauskommt, ist einfach unglaublich. Egal ob jazzig angehaucht oder durch und durch elektronisch, es ist ein einzigartiges Hörerlebnis. Die Natürlichkeit und Räumlichkeit von Musik habe ich auf so einem Level noch nie gehört.
