It's a great place to stay Friendly staff, nice garden, includes a dinner buffet as well as breakfast. Feels just luxurious enough.

How often do you get to eat breakfast and dinner overlooking a 1,000 year old Viking burial site? The hotel rooms are a good size, clean, and have firm mattresses. Clean towels are provided every day, and there is soap and a basic hair/body wash provided. I've stayed here twice, and the free WiFi was good in both parts of the hotel. The staff all speak English and there have been no problems with bookings or questions. The food is superb - a fantastic selection of freshly cooked options served as a buffet. The options are often meat heavy, with a lot of fish too. I'm vegetarian, and the chef made a quick and tasty omelette for me on the day of arrival, then has added a hot vegetarian dish to the evening meals for the duration of my stay. I suspect that vegan options would also be supported, but fish, eggs, and cheese, along with a variety of sausages, do seem to be prominent in the diet so vegan travellers will likely have more limited options - however, there are a good variety of salad options so there is always something at least! At breakfast, there is gluten free cereal available for those that need it. Some parts of the building are quite charmingly old fashioned, but the Viking burial standing stones are a highlight that you just can't match elsewhere. Overall, I've really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to others.

A good place to stop when crossing Norway. The evening buffet is good, including some homemade-like food. Huge and comfortable bed. The private parking is just next to the entrance. - The evening buffet timing ends too soon, so you can't arrive at night without missing the good dinner.

Perfect place for transit. Good idea for including dinner in room's price. Both, dinner and breakfast, was good.

Expected more from a 4 star BW. Room - showing age - I could hear my neighbours coughing at night - floor squeaks with every step - no AC - upon arrival the hallway was very hot and the room even hotter. It took a good hour to get the room to a comfortable temperature having the windows completely open (which needed to be wedged as they close themselves). Bed - one of the best I've slept on in Norway :) Staff - very nice Food - dinner was included in price but not deductible if you don't want it - breakfast ok. I don't like when food is labeled as homemade while it's obviously not! Electric car charging available (I counted 6 standard 240V EU sockets) but bring an extension cord as all were ICEd when I got here.

We had a very comfortable stay! The staff was helpful and efficient, and the room was comfortable. We really liked that breakfast and dinner were included, and they were delicious! The afternoon waffles were tasty too.
