Great lift station. Start of the lift route to Schilthorn. Clean bathrooms. Easy to navigate and with the trip just for the views alone. Its about a 3.5 mile beautiful walk from Lauterbrunnen. And a great way to get up to the car free village of Murren as well. There is plentiful parking space and often you will see base jumpers landing in the grassy areas close by. Highly recommend this.

Oh my gosh! Lauterbrunnen valley is amazing!!! We took the tram up to Murren in early June of 2019. I'm pretty sure we paid about 70 dollars for the three of us for the lift passes with bikes (a bit expensive but worth it). We rented E-bikes (bikes with a motor which kicks in when you peddle). All three of us agree that this was the best day of our trip. By the way - early June was a great time of year to go. Weather was great here as well as in Paris and a few places in Italy. My wife and I travel quite a bit and I would say Lauterbrunnen is tied with Kauai for our favorite place on the planet. If you are looking for raw natural beauty this area is amazing!!!

Appreciated the indoor waiting area to be able to get onto the cable car, but seriously - 4 separate cable cars to get to Piz Gloria? And a ticket check at every single stop - even on the way down? And worst of all, if you have a half card, you have to show the ticket worker your half card each time? On the way down too? My goodness, how inefficient, and a waste of time is that? People were yelling at me when I had to show my half card, because there is a delay in entering and exiting for half card holders. On a sunny day with a lot of snow, people get impatient, and people act like herds of cow trying to push their way into the cable car. An absolutely uncivil atmosphere that can be prevented by better planning. Stanchions for a lineup are not that expensive and are basics for crowd control, but do not exist here. The madness of entering and exiting these cable cars is just a terrible experience and leaves an overall terrible impression of an otherwise magnificent place. (I felt most sorry for the children that were brought in strollers that were crammed into 4 different cable cars, my gosh.)
