Very good way to spend an afternoon. My family enjoyed our time.

We came for the unique history but we stayed for the antique hair wreaths. Really interesting background about the valley and resort. And upstairs you can listen to one of the Powder River Gang members chat about how he doesn't like to be touched. I get it. I mean, ask first if you can cop a touch, right? Overall a great place that the community rightly and proudly supports.

As an Am. History buff, this museum had a lot to interest me. Good layout to move visitors around so nothing was missed. Reasonable entry fee, friendly staff. If I ever get back to Colorado, I'll go again!

My wife and I certainly enjoyed the experience. Steamboat Springs settlers history as well as some great skiing history made it a fun afternoon. Loved the tour of the past, the Victorian home and a glimpse of their lifestyle back in the day.

Lovely, knowledgeable women who greet you. It always warms me to learn of people who desire to preserve the history of particular regions, no matter how small. It is an eclectic mix of artifacts that don't necessarily match the setting, but it's nice to see on a hot afternoon.

Went there to learn about the history of Steamboat Springs. Seems like the place has good info., but couldn't concentrate on any of material due to the front desk lady and a friend of hers talking so loudly they could be heard throughout the museum. Frustrated at having to read the same thing over and over, I finally left after 30 minutes. What should have been an informative experience was a total waste of time and money.

This museum is sensational and the young woman acting as museum guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly and very eager to share her knowledge which added greatly to the experience of myself and family as visitors to the museum. There is no better way for a visitor to Steamboat Springs to spend a morning or afternoon (or both) than to pay this museum a visit. The children's room exhibits were particularly good, with hands-on opportunity to play with exhibits and really experience the life of a child in the olden days. My 5 year old daughter absolutely loved it. Adults will be entertained, enthralled and fascinated by all the museum has to offer. Whatever brings you to Steamboat Springs, make sure you make time to visit this museum. I also add that the restrooms were possibly the cleanest in North America!
