Love this pub. The landlord and lady are a really lovely couple. They are friendly and have a laugh with the locals. Great bands. Nice beer garden. Nice traditional English pub. And in my opinion a hell of a lot better than the pub next door.
The staff and regulars are friendly. Had such a fab night. Fishing for robots was the live band and they were brilliant. Drinks cheap compared to town prices. Well worth a visit. Oh anything goes!! Lived the Landlords fish flops
Went to the Star and Garter for a quick pint on the way to collect our Chinese. What a great pub. The landlord and staff are super friendly and the Beer well kept. They often have entertainment. This is a pub like they used to be. Couldn't recommend enough. If you passing call in, you won't regret it.
