An absolute Hollywood classic that's somehow able to simultaneously give me a calm ending to a night out while also instilling in me a sense of dissociation and dread. One tends to end up there, staring down a too-strong (which may be exactly what you're looking for) cocktail while the seemingly stagnant nightcrawlers of Hollywood Blvd chill under the muddied, multicolored lights hanging from the ceiling. It feels like a scene in a sitcom where the plucky main character is surrounded by decrepit inhabitants at an old folks home pantomiming a haunted house, only the drinks are cheap, the toilet seat is covered in a layer of cigarette ash, and there's some off duty Superman sharing a drink with a woman in neon bike shorts double his age. Bonus experience points for leaving at closing and being able to drunkenly slip on the boulevard sidewalk stars slick with urine, alcohol, or both.

Great location literally next door to the Pantages. It's a dive but not a problem if you show up dressed for the theater. It's the perfect spot before or after the theater.Cheap drinks and a friendly vibe. Lots of cooks (chefs?) drink here, too. And the jukebox is one of L.A.'s best. Got to give it an extra star for that, right?It's a winner in my book.

We love Star ️Garden a long time! As we’ve been going since 1998 off and on no matter how faraway we’ve moved . Still the Best San Fernando Valley Girl Entertainment Bar ever! The best part are the Girls the Staff and the Clientele as everyone is very welcoming and friendly even if you are gay women out with friends supporting a local place or Gay Men or Straight couples or singles.

Love this bar. 30 beers on tap. Wine liquor and beer menu. Live dj and decent size pool table and players. Beautiful women of course!
