We had a fun time here. Interesting early castle and the life within the walls. Great for Kids. The toy museum was a blast. Large variety.

A truly amazing place! Well spent afternoon with family and young children. Loads of details very well preserved. One of the places that you shouldn't miss. The parking is accessible, and the only downside is that's cash only.

Fascinating castle to visit. Plenty of parking close by (just be sure to pay at the right pay and display machine - it is a bit confusing). Lots of friendly animals running free around the grounds including chickens, goats, peacocks and fawn. The buildings have bite-sized history snippets good to keep kids attention. The toy museum is interesting too. Cafe is small though didn't give it a try. Lots of nice places nearby instead. It was quiet the Saturday in August we visited. Would definitely recommend a visit. It isn't particularly cheap (12 for an adult and 10 for a child) but you get your money's worth.

Brilliant recreation of what it was like to live a 1000 years ago in a closely packed village. Ticket well worth the money. There is farm animals roaming freely in between the building.

Arranged to go here without any real idea on what to expect, I took my 11 year old twins and my nearly two year old. My three boys all really enjoyed them selves. There plenty to keep then all amused, the free roaming animals were a joy to feed and pet. The peacocks were a real treat. I loved the little village it kept my boys amused, they enjoyed collecting stamps too for a mystery prize and that ensured they saw everything. One of my children also had so much fun collecting Beautiful feathers. The random Dinosaur park made my toddler super happy and the super freaky random toy museum was also a hit. Coffee in the little gift shop was really nice (highlight for me) and was able to pick up some cheap tokens in the gift shop. We spent about three hours here.
