After my husband & myself scanned our NHS Track & Trace app at the entrance to the Stanley Arms, we walked in, found a booth & sat down. The barman came running over too clean, which was good but there was no sign at the booth saying it hadn't been sanitised, therefore, we thought it was clean & safe to sit down! I had to sit at the very end of the booth we were in as there was a bright red substance marking the cushion top & I really didn't want my clothes to get stained! We ordered two tomato juices, crisps & nuts....once the drinks arrived my husband tasted his & it was dreadful. After closer inspection, my husband's tomato juice had little orange particles in it & definitely had an off smell to it! The barman brought us another two tomato juices, I tasted this time, again, just awful! The barman reassured us the crate of tomato juices were in date until December 2021!...We again ordered two more drinks, one orange juice & one pineapple juice. Thankfully both were fine. The barman was too close for comfort when serving us at our table, definitely made us feel uncomfortable! We decided to have our drinks & go as although the pub had quite a few people inside there was a lack of atmosphere....something I just can't quite put my finger on.
First time me and the family have visited and have decided we won't be going back. The food took a very long time to cook and there was only three of us ordering food in the whole place. The food wasn't anything special didn't taste amazing or terrible, just a very generic and a bit pricy place to go for food.
