Big building full of small shiny electronic things that have small paper numbers in front of them with big numbers printed on said paper. Have a walk round tell a fella in tie that you are just looking then leave turn right and go buy a burger

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Adrian the manager should be ashamed of himself. My wife & I purchased a washing machine from the store and opted to have them install the product. This was done incorrectly and a substantial leak destroyed our new and rather expensive flooring. After spending literally hours trying to get hold of somebody in customer services and then trying the online video chat and virtual assistant all with no success, I opted to visit the store for some help. I was initially given hope after speaking with a very helpful and professional employee named Charlie, who assured me that everything would be ok and that he would pass the matter to the manager, Adrian who would call me within 24 hours. After a few days had passed without having the promised call back I returned to the store and was eventually met my Adrian, who was agitated and extremely argumentative. He told me that he had asked somebody called Lewis to call me back and was adamant this had been done. When I said that this was not the case, he ragingly asked me if I would like to explain why Lewis had said he called me back and hadn’t?! He then inferred that Lewis has done what he said and that I must be lying! After I had defused the situation and left to come home my Wife telephoned me to say that a rude man called Adrian from Currys had just phoned her. He said he needed to call the number on file as he “was just checking that the number existed” as it did not look like a ‘proper’ one! Shame on you Adrian for the awful way in which you conducted yourself. You have single handedly ended my relationship with the Currys brand, with whom I spent in excess of 2,000 in 2020 alone.

We've spent a fair amount of money here over the years because it's convenient, there's a decent range of goods and the prices are average, (although there's never any deals to be made anymore, that's a thing of the past.) But I won't be back. We bought an integrated dishwasher a week ago, which was out of stock, delivered today. When I took the packaging off, there was damage and bad buckling to the front which meant I wouldn't be able to install it, as the cupboard panel door wouldn't fit on it and I don't know if there's any further damage inside. We drove back to the store, explained the situation to one of the managers and asked if they would install the replacement for free or offer some other kind of compensation to make up for the hassle and inconvenience. Having waited for a week and stayed in for their 4 hr delivery window and not knowing how long it will take to sort this out, I think it's fair to ask. Nope, nothing. Computer says no, the system won't allow it. He said we could write to Currys head office, who were able to give compensation but its unlikely that they would. I was polite but he kept talking right over me. If he'd been friendly and apologetic I might have felt better about it. So, I decided I'd get a refund and go elsewhere, I don't want them to have my money anymore. But before I can get a refund, now I have to go home and get the serial number and come back to the shop, or ring them. I've rung 5 times now and they're not answering. (When we were there, there were lots of staff and it wasn't busy). I've put up with unexceptional service from Currys for years, no more. I will be going to Amazon or AO now.
