Central Cafe & Tearooms is our go-to place for lunch every time we visit Stamford!! The lunches are amazing, such good variety and always delicious without fail. Most importantly I can't express enough how wonderful the staff are! Nothing is a problem for them, they always make you feel very welcome and will do anything to make your visit enjoyable. For example I recently visited with my new baby in a pram and they ensured we had enough room for the pram, the waitress took special care to do so even though she was busy (sorry I didn't catch her name). I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cosy cafe/tearoom for breakfast/lunch with family, friends or as a couple.

The food and drinks were delicious, however the service wasn't. Maybe we came at the wrong time of day. As it was half an hour before closing, and although they made us hot food, which we were grateful for. We just didn't feel welcomed. We also never got a thankyou and goodbye back as we left.
Stamford has many qualities about it n this is 1 of them. Does nice coffee n serves hot n cold food. Recommend the full English breakfast its spot on. If coming to Stamford give it a go. Only thing I don't like is wheelchairs can't get in due to 3 steps going to the door.
A great little café this, always try and come here when I visit Stamford. Great service, good coffee, delicious pastries, paninis and sandwiches, and the cake portions.... Go and see for yourself.
Central tea room is a visit for anyone visiting Stamford. The staff we're very friendly, helpful and polite. Coffee was alot better than your coffee shop chains. Their cakes and pastries are very tasty, the best coffee I've ever had. Cheers Central tea room for making my visit memorable.
