Cracking little pub serving an excellent Sunday carvery with all the trimmings. Parking on site is free.
Very sad to come back after two years and be so disappointed. We booked on the phone and there was no record of our booking so we've been offered a table for just an hour. Ordered instantly and waited 40 mins our food. Food was just average apart from the meat that was burned. The team is not wearing any face covering, table are not too close but it's easy to get close to others walking through the rooms. I used to enjoy the food and loved the atmosphere here as well, but the new furniture remind an fast food. No reason for coming back!
Haven't been in this pub for several years. At that time it was looking rather tired and in need of a full refurbishment. I went in with my brother and his wife, initially for a quick pint. On entering I was very pleasantly surprised. It was under new management and had thankfully, been very tastefully refurbished with plenty of dining space and bar room. We then thought why not check out the menu- which was really excellent. So we decided to have a meal. The service was first class. Staff were very attentive. When the food arrived it was piping hot, very well presented and very tasteful. In fact my sister-law was so impressed she booked the whole dining area for my brother's 65th birthday in August 2020! I personally would have no hesitation in recommending this establishment for a decent pint and/or a meal.
