A bit...eh. I ordered a burger which was again...eh. The meat was way too big for the buns, spilling over the edges of my plate and the portion of chips alongside was tiny. For almost 14 I expected the burger to at least taste good but it was horribly bland. There was no sauces that jumped out at me, not really anything that made me want to continue eating the burger. Probably why I didn't even finish it. The size of the burger was decent, but the lack of taste really disappointed me.

I've been here a couple of times now. And it is such a delight. The wooden beams and comfortable seating, relaxed atmosphere, feels like you are in a wooden chalet in the highlands. Only thing missing is the log fire.
Booked a table for lunch here yesterday (pollockshaws rd) It was very busy and a bit chaotic. Waited quite a while to have our food order taken and served. A great selection on the menu and very large portions. (Could not finish main meal) The food was delicious, but be prepared to wait Barman 'Paul' was like a machine. Was working the bar himself, and getting the orders out like 'lightning striking' Well done Paul, your certainly an asset to the establishment. 10 out of 10 ️
Only ever been in Stag and Thistle twice (once in Kilmaurs and then again today in Shawlands) and they certainly don't disappoint! Laura was the person who served us most of the day and she was amazing, as well as the drinks! Absolutely fantastic place and we will definitely be back!!
