It's a nice space but something feels missing. You can't really swim, it's not worth the ten dollar fee but it's still a decent place if you live nearby. The staff are helpful and the place is well maintained.

Dragged my disgruntled 17 year old to the park for some forced bonding time today. Got there and purchased an annual pass and it was apparent this is not a common occurrence at this location. Nor did it seem visitors were a common occurrence as the ranger at the front didn't even seem familiar with the State Trail Quest... Hmm, ok, let me tell you about the program your park and the other State Parks are running... btw Google Virginia State Park Trail Quest and get started people! The park is still in progress and right now the beach was kind of swampy so it isn't fantastic for little ones but I'm sure it will be popping by Spring. Small park, but beautiful views!

Not worth the fee if you're just visiting. The area is nice and spacious however theres not a whole lot to do besides walk around. Though if you decide to hime this one tenth of a mile trail beware if spider webs, got a face full of them. Water is mucky and not anything anyone would want to swim in but canoeing seems to be an option for residents. Bathroom facilities are much nicer inside than what youd think looking on the outside.

The place is marvelous. The ground are very quiet and filled with many native animals. The location is right next to a wide part of the river and it is full of historical coffee. It is well worth a joyful visit

This park has water access on Aquia Creek and the Potomac! (For viewing or small boat launch, not motor boats yet nor swimming). Very scenic. Beautiful time kayaking today! Saw great blue herons and eagles. Snails making tracks on the bottom of the stream. The fish were playful and splashed my son. Gorgeous spot! Our dogs love the trails here.
