Como Planetarium is epic!!!! The Tuesday night public shows at 5:30pm and 7pm are awesome! The 5:30pm show is aimed at younger audiences, so you can bring your little ones to be entertained and educated about space. The 7:00pm show changes every week and focuses on broader, more detailed topics and these shows can be very informative and fun for adults of all ages. The planetarium itself looks and feels like an alien spaceship and it is breathtaking the science that is displayed on this 30 ft diameter dome!!! The always wonderful staff perform shows that give you a cutting-edge look at anything from the night sky/constellations and roller coasters on Mars and Jupiter’s moon Europa to Cosmology and Dark Matter/Dark Energy!!! The shows here are always fresh and fun! Plus, they’re great for all ages! I highly recommend making it over to Como Park Elementary and checking out the glorious events that Como Planetarium has to offer!!!!

FUN! for 5, this is way better than the 1993 field trip we went on. General topic of constellations, but with your own questions. Leaving you wanting like, a 3 hour show, but I guess we didn't have a permission slip for that. They also feature a laser show to music. WHAT!? Yes! Keep checking their website! Last week in Oct, 2016. I'm saying 4/5 stars only due to the screaming infants. Sound is amplified here. Its not the planetariums fault. I, however, wish they would make a solid announcement to remove the crying kid if its a noise issue. Thats all.

Whether for a nostalgic return to a planetarium you visited as a child (they will take out: the 42 year old starball if you ask!) or to see a modern show given by expert presenters, the Como Planetarium is the place to go. At 5/person and within a few minutes walk of Como Zoo and the Conservatory, this bargain is a can't miss.If only they had public shows on nights other than Tuesdays, it would be a perfect place for a date night too!
