A friend has recently spent his last few days at the hospice and was looked after wonderfully to the end, but the hospice failed badly afterwards, giving his possessions to an unauthorised person, even though it should not have been permitted by law. We felt badly let down at a very difficult time, and it caused us great stress and anger at a difficult time. Although the hospice said sorry!!! It has'nt made the complaint go away.

I have just read Sharon's review, and I sympathise with you. When my wife wife died in St Michael's I had one problem, with one member of staff, but this was far outweighed by all of the other kind, caring and respectful staff. I wish my wife never had to go there, but I do not think that she could have been treated better anywhere else, for any amount of money. I would also add that myself and two daughters were incredibly well looked after while we stayed there.
I work here. Lovely people, lovely gardens and supporting and helping the community of Hastings & Rother is great.
