I guess I'm not understanding the hype. I used to come to BOB for music and drinks and it was always a great time. Sat down and ate for the first time today. It wasn't nearly as good as the reviews. It was alright, but for a 100 bill I was very disappointed. The alligator had little flavor, the shrimp in voodoo sauce was coated in sauce that made them soggy and too spicy. The oysters were too saturated with toppings to taste like anything besides cheese, and the shrimp and grits has no flavor and they put a crispy patty inside a bowl of sauce .. once again making it soggy. The drinks were expensive and not good enough for me to even finish one. Save your money. Go somewhere cheaper.

Oh my gosh I had the shrimp and grits it was so amazing. The service was great! And the atmosphere was fanatic. I simply can’t say enough about this place. I am from out of town but I will be back.
After a misunderstanding about reservations, I Facebook messaged BOB hoping there would be a way to resolve the issue. Not only did I get an instant response, but the manager, Mary, was so kind and accommodating she found a way to honor my original reservation for 9 people last minute on their busiest day of the year. Our experience was wonderful from the food, music, ambiance and drinks. I am so impressed with BOB and will definitely be back.
Had the blue crab cakes, served on fried green tomatoes with creole sauce and the bread pudding for dessert. Everything, including the service, was excellent. Never have had anything bad from here. Always pleased. Observing social distancing too. Masks are required to enter and tables are spaced appropriately and nobody is seated right next to anyone else. Can definitely recommend. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Great atmosphere and great food and great service.
Broadway oyster bar is ALWAYS a good idea! They are being socially responsible during covid. Spaced out tables, mask requirements, etc. Our group of 4 felt extremely comfortable with their precautions. The food is delicious! ALLIGATOR CHEESECAKE, as gross as it sounds, is like a baked dip that you need to try. Their BAKED OYSTERS are good. I like the sampler to try them all and my favorite changes by the day. My absolute favorite item on the menu is their NOLA STYLE BBQ SHRIMP. I could live off of these. Perfect balance of heat, butter, and heaven.
