Beautiful winter walk, but check the weather reports this time of year. Errwood Hall car park is at the bottom of a valley you may struggle to get out of in the snow without 4WD.

Beautiful place great walks too
Beautiful shrine of Saint Joseph, just off a country lane called \ the street\ near Buxton. The shine is accessible from the street plenty of pull in spaces and parking spaces, careful google maps doesn't take you the wrong way down a one way track that runs along the river goyt. Tranquil area with breathtaking views in all weather, from parking the car the shrine is a 5 minute walk down hill stay to the lower path until you see the steps leading down to the shrine. Easy (ish) walk, nice drive & child friendly. Definitely recommend, also worth reading up on the history of the shrine.
Lovely walk , unique and beautiful setting for the shrine and the path walks around are well worth the effort .
