We were staying nearby and I have long been a fan of this restaurant and the original St John restaurant in Smithfield. So we decided to have breakfast here, and did not regret it. There may be more options on the menu as the time goes on, but the breakfast offering is small but I would suggest that most people will find something that want.

So happy they're back. Eaten here a few times by now. So many amazing dishes. Today I had pork crackling and fennel. Also the devilled Devon crab. The former great, the latter is absolute perfection. Brilliant service too! Oh and lovely wine.

Enjoyed my meal with my lovely friends from home. A simple and neat restaurant with no excessive decoration. The restaurant was full and it can be a bit noisy as everyone is enjoying their meal and chatting with one another. Staff is absolutely sweet and nice. You can see them wearing their smile whenever they check on you and see if everything is alright. And of course, when they serve every single dish. My favourite would be the devilled mussel. Its cooked perfectly and so fresh. We all know seafood can be tricky sometimes. To be fair all other dishes are cooked in perfect timing. See the picture of the fish its so perfect) Personally i wish the ox tongue can be cut thicker than it is now so the tenderness and flavour can be maximised. However I believe ox tongue is cooked differently in all different cultures.

I haven't been in exactly 10 years, but I can still taste the bread and pickled duck hearts. This was my daily spot when I lived around the corner for a year. I've heard Londonland has many delicious small restaurants these days, but as an expat foodie from San Francisco back then, I had trouble finding fresh, organic and flavorful food. The chef here is truly remarkable, and the ingredients are superb.

A delicious dinner selected from a varied and tempting menu, served by smart and attentive staff. I enjoyed the less formal atmosphere and felt welcome and relaxed alongside the efficient hygiene. I will definitely be back.
