A beautiful Baptist church in the centre of Cirencester which peels its bells on a Sunday evening. A fantastic sound and plenty of locals and tourists answered their call. Gorgeous architecture from all directions!

It was at least partly closed due to lockdown. I got a sausage roll from a cafe called \The Cafeteria\, served from a classic Citroën van outside the Abbey. The sausage roll was nice, though nearly stone cold. The coffee was fine.
Absolutely stunning and massive, completely beautiful and it was great that there were people around that could answer any questions, an elegant and impressive interior, the architecture and stained glass windows breathtaking. Historic and peaceful, right in the centre of the town.- a must see Historical site if you are in Cirencester!
One of the largest parish churches in Britain. Mostly because of late medieval wool wealth. Everyone wanted to add a bit and they fitted it in somehow. And then they stuck an enormous porch onto the street side. Big chapels, unique height to the nave, cathedral sized tower . Not strictly speaking beautiful but very impressive. Worth spending some time here. Unusual very late gothic details. Note the amusing carvings on the front of the porch.
Located at market place in Cirencester town center. Cirencester Parish Church of John Baptist is, one of the largest parish churches in country. Sometimes you confused with the former Cirencester Abbey, which was situated nearby. As you walk round this historic \wool\ church, hope that you will notice many interesting features. Looks other churches, Cirencester Parish Church was built to the glory of go as place of prayer and worship. there has been a church here since the early years of the Christian era. Although full of history, the church is not a museum, but remains a lively place of daily worship and prayer as well as a center of Christian ministry. For 400 years the church was in the care of the nearby Abbey and its Augustinian order. Though the Abbey is no longer here, the prayer of St. Augustine remains.
