My husband and I are in Springfield for a work trip, and we thought we'd look up local BBQ for dinner. I'm so glad we decided go stop at St. Georges, this place is absolutely delicious. Everything is hot and fresh and top notch. We got pulled pork sandwiches (amazing, especially with their BBQ sauce) and homemade sides (I got potato salad and he got the fries - SO good). You have to eat here, you won't regret it!
(1) we ordered catering for 15 people and the lady that stayed late for us - we truly appreciate it! So kind and even helped me to the car!! Thank you so much! (2) this food is the bomb. The potato salad is amazing!! Loved every bit of it!
They made Holiday Custard this year! Better than the McDonalds Holiday Pies. Service can be slower than other places, but it’s run everyday by the same people, so you’re basically getting a homemade meal in about 10 minutes. Burnt ends are great too. I do wish they had more seating, but the shop is more designed for “take home” than “sit down.
I love this place! The couple that owns it is just so friendly and kind. Their BBQ is AMAZING! I honeatly would say it's the best in town!! The prices are really reasonable for the portion sizes that they give you. I have not had a bad experience here at all! I always get their froed okra - it never disappoints!! Try their coleslaw too, its so good (if you like that sort of thing). You will NEVER order a bad thing here!!
