Excellent idea of using train as park and ride to St Ives. Lovely station and staff very friendly.

Very nice, until they locked it all up and went home just as I was about to use the toilets! Could use with a little TLC as well in places, with paint colours spanning 30 years showing through.

Lots of car parking spaces. Very reasonably priced parking for a day - ideal for catching the train to St Ives.
Absolutely awful. Some of the payment machines out of use. For those that weren't, big signs were stuck across telling you to not pay by cash. Card payment doesn't work. Downloaded the app, that doesn't work - tells you you're already registered so to submit number for password reset. Did that, told me no details could be found so I need to register, but can't register because the app said I already had - round in circles. Tried the phone number to pay, doesn't work. Asked one of the station staff how I pay and I'm unhelpfully told I can use cash...errrrr but your big sign says not to use cash due to covid. AND due to covid, most of us don't have cash on us. Gave up and went elsewhere. Would have been quicker to walk to St Ives from where I was staying in Porthtowan. If you fancy getting into St Ives quickly and hassle free, bypass this bunch of novices - not a clue.
