Fabulous church, which certainly merits a diversion to enjoy its many features. The interior is lofty and inspiring and contains many memorials and architectural gems. The Chancel and Nave are spacious, but unfortunately due to an extensive rewiring project under construction, access was limited. My impression therefore is a bit superficial but sufficient to encourage any traveller to visit this church if passing or to make a short detour.

A large and impressive church with lots of interesting features. The church is usually open and remains a well used focal point for the town. Don't miss the huge medieval bosses mounted on the west wall. Also there is some beautiful Victorian stained glass.
Picturesque country church, close to town centre.
lovely church, it sits in a quaint, historical area with rich historical value and stories behind it for those avid enough to step foot in this in winter! the church itself when i went was raising money to have new lighting installed in the central nave as it was, and is, very gloomy there but the rest of the church, the wings, the alter, the pulpit were all superbly lit. all the details both of ornate carvings and details of the ancient but stunning structure were highlighted. furthermore, the organ itself was currently being refurbished, to my understanding, but was still able to play at the concert i attended.
